The Honourable Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) James Abiodun Faleke , has commissioned the newly built palace of the Awuse of Onigbongbo Kingdom, a landmark that epitomizes the rich cultural heritage and collective aspirations of Onigbongbo people.
Dr. Faleke, who was ably represented by the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), praised the Royal Father for his consistent support over the years and for promoting peace, unity, and stability throughout the kingdom.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Faleke portrayed the new palace as a legacy project and a cultural monument that will function as both a seat of traditional authority and a unifying centre for communal harmony, cultural preservation, and conflict resolution.

He congratulated the Awuse and the people of Onigbongbo on the completion of the palace, while also assuring the Royal Father of the government’s commitment to partnering with them in community development, cultural renaissance, and people-centered governance initiatives.
The event was attended by traditional rulers, community leaders, political stakeholders, and residents of Onigbongbo, who praised the palace as a source of pride and a milestone in the kingdom’s annals.
