The presentation ceremony, held at the council secretariat, saw the five councillors of the LCDA take delivery of their official vehicles. The vehicles were formally handed over by key leaders of the council, reflecting a collective commitment to strengthening grassroots governance and improving service delivery.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Agunbiade explained that the provision of official vehicles to councillors is a statutory responsibility of the council, as stipulated in the guidelines governing local government administration. He noted that enhanced mobility is essential for councillors to effectively carry out their legislative, oversight and constituency duties across their respective wards.

The chairman urged the beneficiaries to deploy the vehicles strictly for official purposes, stressing the need for accountability, discipline and dedication to public service. He further charged the councillors to remain focused and committed to the discharge of their statutory responsibilities to the people of Eti-Osa East LCDA.

In their responses, the councillors expressed appreciation to the chairman for his leadership and commitment to good governance. They pledged to use the vehicles responsibly and to redouble their efforts in serving their constituents.

The initiative, according to the council, underscores the Agunbiade administration’s determination to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance service delivery and promote effective governance at the grassroots level.
