Nigeria stands at a critical historical juncture—not due to weakness, but because of attempts by saboteurs, both internal and foreign, to manipulate the destiny of a sovereign nation of over 230 million people. Lagos APC has warned that these plots will fail.
Recent months have seen a troubling pattern of violent attacks executed with an unnerving precision that suggests more than mere coincidence. Analysts note that the spike in terrorist activities appears closely aligned with foreign provocations, raising concerns about internal complicity.
Lagos APC Spokesman, Mogaji (Hon) Seye Oladejo, stated:
“There is no magic in terrorists succeeding despite advanced intelligence capabilities and robust security alerts. Such outcomes point to internal sabotage—insiders compromising operations, leaking movement details, and creating vulnerabilities that enemies exploit. This is not incompetence; it is collaboration. Those responsible must be unmasked.”
The party highlighted concerning trends, including terrorists targeting soft targets with unusual precision, deliberate weakening or standing down of checkpoints at critical hours, spikes in attacks following foreign provocations, coordinated assaults overwhelming security agencies, and amplification of terrorist narratives by opposition-aligned voices, which undermines national morale.
Despite these challenges, Lagos APC affirmed that under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the fight against terrorism is now intelligence-driven, uncompromising, and relentless. The party praised the Nigerian Armed Forces for their bravery and resilience, noting their sacrifices expose the opportunism of those exploiting chaos for political gain.
The statement issued a stern warning to saboteurs: “Your actions have been noted. Your networks will be exposed. Your sponsors—local or foreign—will be disgraced. Nigeria will not collapse to fulfill the fantasies of failed politicians or foreign actors.”
Lagos APC concluded:
“This war against terrorism is mandatory. Nigeria must win. Nigeria will win. Our enemies underestimate our unity, resilience, and national spirit. History will record this moment as the turning point when Nigeria confronted and crushed the unholy alliance of terrorists and traitors. Victory is certain. Nigeria shall prevail.”
