According to the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, the protest which started on a peaceful note in the last two weeks and was gradually gaining traction, acceptance, nation widespread momentum from all well-meaning Nigerians to the diaspora has now been hijacked by hoodlums and some factional unscrupulous elements who has chosen to hide under the widely acceptable #EndSars protest principles to carry out their hideous act and hatred for good governance which has now turned out to become chaotic and destructive across the state. He says:

“Democracy is about preservation of human rights, welfare and protection of lives and properties of the common man. The entire Lagos State and Local Government polity is in dire political strait due to the accruing pandemonium that hoodlums had started cooking

. The State Governor’s imposition of curfew is a timely intervention needed to restore peace, order and rule of law across the country. If this atmosphere of intimidation should continue unchecked by government, our democracy might suffer inalienable damage and irreparable crash.

The governor’s resolution to declare a curfew and prevent the looming catastrophe because of innocent citizens are being made to undergo undue treatments and susceptibility to insecurity, government properties destroyed, police stations burnt, commercial and economic activities thwarted amongst others, thus making democracy and rule of law hopeless by such destructive activities which is no way different from causing anarchy and chaos.

Such act is considered not to be safe for lives and properties of our dear citizens in Ojodu and by extension Lagos State” – Engr. Julius Olumuyiwa Oloro declared.
