The Independent National Electoral Commission has once again assured the citizens of hitch-free electoral processes.

The Executive Chairman, Ojodu LCDA Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku played host to Ikeja INEC Electoral officer, Mr. Gabriel Taire and his entourage in the early hours of Wednesday 16th February at the Council Secretariat, Oke-ira.

Taire notified the Mayor of the vehement efforts of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and INEC at ensuring that all glitches and hitches associated with voting in the past are eradicated through the creation of additional 307 polling units to complement the existing ones in Ikeja.

“These efforts would ensure improved voters’ turnout, as we bring independent voting points closer to the people,” Taire said.

Thus, Hon. Odunmbaku also pledged his support to ensure wide publicity concerning the presence of additional voting points particularly within Ojodu LCDA; in order to forestall voting apathy and improve turnout and electoral participation.
