Residents of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA were thrown into celebration mood as the Executive Chairman, Hon Abiodun Jimoh Ejigbadero, rolled out massive Eid-el-Kabir support packages for council workers, community members, religious bodies, political stakeholders, and people living with disabilities across the seven wards of the council.

The Ileya largesse, which included cash gifts, bags of rice, rams, and cows, was distributed ahead of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration scheduled for Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28.

At the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA Secretariat located at Oja Oba Bus Stop, Abule Egba, council workers were visibly excited as they received bags of rice from the chairman on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Management staff members received one bag of rice each, while other categories of workers, including non-pensionable staff, shared one bag among four staff members.

Earlier on Friday, May 22, over 500 pensionable staff members were paid ₦30,000 each as Ileya bonus, while more than 200 non-pensionable staff received ₦20,000 each.

Ejigbadero also extended the festive gesture to Muslim and Christian religious leaders, community leaders, political leaders, and party members across the seven wards, with the distribution of cash gifts, rams, and cows.

Reacting to the development, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA branch, Comrade Tajudeen Olowolagba, praised Ejigbadero for his consistent welfare support for workers since assuming office last July.

He noted that the chairman has proven himself to be both worker-friendly and people-oriented.

Also speaking, the Council Manager, Mrs. Fregene Gbemisola, appreciated the council chairman on behalf of workers for the generous Ileya package and prayed for continued success in his administration.

In the same vein, the APC Chairman in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. Mukaila Yinusa, described Ejigbadero as a true philanthropist whose people-centered programmes and projects have continued to impact lives positively.

According to him, the chairman has also strengthened unity among political leaders and party members through regular welfare interventions.

Hon. Yinusa further urged residents to embrace the core lessons of Eid-el-Kabir — faith, sacrifice, obedience, and selflessness — as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
