Eight jailed for phone snatching in Lagos

A Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade, Oshodi, Lagos has sentenced eight people allegedly involved in snatching of phones and other crimes to six months imprisonment.

A Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade, Oshodi, Lagos has sentenced eight people allegedly involved in snatching of phones and other crimes to six months imprisonment.

The 8 miscreants were arrested earlier on Thursday for snatching phones on the pedestrian bridge of Mile 2 Bridge area of Lagos

The suspects identified as Anthony Osinachi- 21 years, Victor Onuoha – 45 years, Mr Rowland Ede – 25 years, Mr Daniel Chisom – 24 years, Mr Emmanuel Chukwu – 35 years, Mr Ogbonnaya Uchechi – 18 years, Mr Godday Eke – 28years and Mr Benjamin G – 30yrs.

The were arrested earlier on Thursday during morning raid by the operatives of Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps.

They were arraigned before the Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade, Oshodi where they pleaded guilty and were sentenced to six months imprisonment.
