The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship Candidates for Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD) and Hon. Abisola Omisore (Omituntun), extend warmest felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Ikeja and across Nigeria as they join the global Islamic community in celebrating the 2025 Eid-ul-Adha.

In a joint press statement released on Thursday, the duo expressed deep appreciation to Almighty Allah for granting the grace, good health, and peace to witness another Eid season, a sacred period that symbolizes sacrifice, devotion, and obedience.

The statement reads: “Eid-ul-Adha serves as a potent reminder of the significance of faith, charity, and unity in our communities,” they noted. “As Muslims commemorate the noble sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), we urge all faithful to reflect on the values of submission to Allah’s will and the importance of extending love and compassion to the less privileged.”

They further enjoined Muslim brothers and sisters to utilize the celebration as an opportunity to offer prayers for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Ikeja, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large.

While reiterating their commitment to inclusive governance, service to the people, and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the candidates pledged to uphold the values of equity, justice, and development should they be entrusted with the mandate of leadership.

“May this Eid bring joy to every home, strengthen the bonds of unity among us, and renew our collective resolve to build a greater Ikeja together,” the statement concluded.
