It was fanfare at the grand finale of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ikeja Federal Constituency Walk-through Rally in Ojodu LCDA, as Ward F on Monday hosted the 16th in the series of 18 Wards of the ongoing grassroots engagement rally for all the APC Candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
The walk through rally campaign is aimed at soliciting electoral supports for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential ambition, the reelection bid for Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and his deputy, as well as the reelection of Rt. Honorable James Abiodun Faleke to the House of Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency, election of Dr. Idiat Adebule for Lagos West Senatorial District and Prince Seyi Lawal for Lagos State House of Assembly and reelection of Honorable Adedamola Richard Kasunmu for Ikeja Constituency 1 and 2 respectively.
The campaign took off from Berger BRT Bus-stop Ojodu, and it was declared open by Ojodu LCDA APC Chairperson Alhaja Olusola Kokumo.
Also joined in the rally were APC Party leaders, LGA Executives, Counsellors, members and other stakeholders from Ikeja Federal Constituency, ably led by the Chairman APC lkeja LGA and Chair of the 57 LGA Chairmen in Lagos State, Mayegun Dally Adeokun and Onigbongbo and Chairperson APC Onigbongbo LCDA, Alhaja Iyabo Akerele.
Other dignitaries at the MHR Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke’s ward include the Vice Chairman Ojodu LCDA, Honorable Olubunmi Oluyadi, Barr Olawale Ajala, Prince Ranti Olufon, as well as Alhaji Muyideen Kehinde Onifade from Onigbongbo LCDA make up the list.
In her welcome address, Alhaja Kokumo expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Party leaders and members present, and subsequently read out the list of all APC Candidates on the ballot and called on the people to take the House to house Campaign very serious as the election is fast approaching.
She implored the 15 man Committee per Polling booth to complete their forms of 20 each before deadline.
She also gave out some hints to the members on the voting procedure on Election Day, advising the women to make sure that they don’t fix their nails until after the election to avoid any error when placing their fingers on the ballot paper.
She urged them to mobilize others and vote massively for all the APC Candidates come February 25th and March 11 2023, saying that the Presidential and National Assembly come first, to be followed by the Governorship and State Assemblies.
“So I am appealing to all of you to vote vehemently for all the APC Candidates”, she concluded.
Also speaking in the same vein, Alhaji Adeokun after thanking the people for the sumptuous entertainments and warmly welcome, saying “I am highly impressed with the support and turnout despite the absence of Honorable James Abiodun Faleke”.
He therefore encouraged them to use the same zeal to vote for him and all the APC Candidates during the general elections.
He informed party faithful that there will be a training program for all the Polling Unit Committee on Wednesday before the walk through rally in Ikeja ward F.
He however advised them to continue the mobilization of House to house Campaign, visiting the nooks and crannies to make rigorous Campaign for all APC Candidates.
In conclusion, Mayegun Adeokun stated that this is the 16th walk through rally campaign, remaining 2 wards, namely Ikeja ward F and Onigbongbo ward E to complete the walk on Wednesday and Friday respectively.
