Ojodu ward B on Wednesday was agog when the All Progressive Congress Ikeja Federal Constituency Walkthrough Campaign rally stormed the area to seek the support of the grassroots people for their presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all other candidates in the upcoming 2023 general elections.
The rally as its tradition was led by the host LGA party’s Chairperson, Hon Stella Kokumo of Ojodu LGA, who welcomed everyone to the event and urged all party faithful in attendance to be peaceful and orderly for the 6th walk-through rally.
Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu who is seeking reelection into the Lagos State House of Assembly, LSHA, under Ikeja Constituency 2, who incidentally stood for other candidates was in an excited mood as he enjoyed accolades and pleasantries from residents.
In his address, he called on everyone to go and get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) ready and vote for all APC Candidates in the coming general elections. He emphatically called on women and youths as they formed the majority during elections.
Hon. Kasunmu said, “Ikeja being the Political base of our indefatigable leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it is essential to massively turn out and vote for the presidential Candidate of our party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the party”.
The top-rank State legislator further said “it is payback time for Asiwaju to complete the good work which he started in 1999 in Lagos State”, he declared.
The walk-Through rally in Ojodu ward B also has in attendance top Political leaders in Ikeja Federal Constituency, including the Executive Chairman Ojodu LCDA, Hon. David Segun Odunmbaku, the APC Ikeja LGA Chairman Alhaji Dally Adeokun and the APC Chairperson for Onigbongbo LCDA, Alhaja Iyabo Akerele from the take of the point behind County Hospital, Aguda, Ogba.
The Council Chairman Hon Odunmbaku while addressing the people encouraged them to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), and be ready for the February 25th and March 11 elections.
He said, “it is not a word of mouth but coming out in large numbers to vote for all APC candidates”.
He also said that “it’s not going to be business as usual, as the coming elections, is going to be between APC and other Parties”, he emphasized.
He said all hands must be on deck, to achieve the 5 million votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State, he concluded.
