The All Progressive Congress, APC Ikeja, Ward F, Alausa, on Wednesday had its grassroots engagement rally for all the party’s Candidates for the forthcoming general elections.

Coincidentally, Ikeja Ward F is the party’s Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ward, hosted the 17th edition in the series for the 18 wards in the Ikeja Federal Constituency with the aim to sensitize and solicit electoral support for all APC Candidates towards forthcoming general elections.

The campaign was declared open by the Chairman APC Ikeja LGA, Alhaji Dally Adeokun who is also the Chair of the 57 LGA Chairmen in Lagos State, took off from First Bank bus stop, off Solanke Street, Allen Avenue, walk through Awolowo way and terminated at Alausa, the office of Late Party leader of APC, Alhaji Saheed Alani Okikioposu, which a minute silence was observed in his honour.

The well-attended rally had in attendance the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State Mr. Tayo Ayinde, the APC candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly for Ikeja Constituency 1, Prince Seyi Lawal, LGA Executives, Counsellors, among other notable Party leaders

Mr. Ayinde in an interview with Lagos Panorama at the event said that he deemed it very necessary to be present at the rally, so as to mobilize support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who coincidentally is from the ward and Ikeja local government as a whole.

Mr. Ayinde noted that the Political opponents and the whole of Nigeria will want to know the results from Asiwaju’s Polling unit, as well as his ward, local government, and his State in order to use it as a Political statement.

He, therefore, encouraged everyone in the Ward, Ikeja, and Lagos State to come out in their numbers on election day and vote massively for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all the APC Candidates on the 25th February and 11th March and promised to reward the Ward with the highest vote

The Chief of Staff also used the opportunity to sensitize the people on the voting procedure and the use of the BVAS machine for the elections.

The Buffalo as he is fondly addressed by political associates, outlined the achievements of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu when he was the Governor of Lagos State, as well as his ability to raise and groom leaders which automatically, as he himself is a product from Alausa, as the Chief Security Officer, to the two-term former governor.

Mr. Ayinde therefore concluded by saying that the people on election day, should not go alone to the Polling booth but go along with their neigbours to vote and after casting their votes, wait behind to know the results.

Ayinde promised to support the Ward with the required logistics

In his remark, Mayegun Dally Adeokun said, he was impressed with the turnout and encouraged members of the party to use the same zeal come February 25th to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC Candidates.

He said that this is the 17th walk through rally and the final slated for Oregun in Onigbongbo LCDA ward E on Monday, which is the ward of Lagos State House of Assembly candidate in Ikeja Constituency 1, Prince Seyi Lawal.
