Dangote Sinotruk Executives Visit Ikeja LG Chairman, Explore Partnership Opportunities

Executives of Dangote Sinotruk have paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat, as part of activities marking the commencement of the 2026 administrative year and to explore areas of strategic collaboration.

The visit was aimed at strengthening institutional ties and identifying partnership opportunities that would advance youth empowerment, education, and community development within Ikeja Local Government.

While receiving the delegation, Chairman AKOD outlined key flagship initiatives of his administration through which Dangote Sinotruk could collaborate with the Local Government. These include the AKOD Holiday Job Initiative, which provides temporary employment and skills exposure for young people, and the AKOD Back-to-School Programme, designed to support access to education and the provision of learning materials for pupils across the council area.

The Chairman underscored the critical role of public-private partnerships in driving grassroots development, stressing that collaboration with credible corporate organisations remains central to the successful implementation of the I.K.E.J.A Agenda.

The Dangote Sinotruk delegation was led by Mr. Brian Wang, Sales Manager, and Mr. Sunday Dairo, Assistant General Manager, Marketing and Sales. Speaking during the visit, the executives expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the Chairman’s people-focused programmes and developmental vision for Ikeja.

They further reaffirmed Dangote Sinotruk’s commitment to partnering with Ikeja Local Government in line with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives, particularly in initiatives that promote youth development, education, and socio-economic growth.

The visit ended on an optimistic note, with both parties expressing confidence in a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership that will contribute to the continued development and well-being of residents of Ikeja Local Government.
