On the 3rd of January 2022, 670 new confirmed cases and 6 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 244120 cases have been confirmed, 216180 cases have been discharged and 3045 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 670 new cases are reported from 11 States- Lagos (277), Kaduna (199), FCT (120), Kwara (20), Abia (14), Rivers (11), Gombe (9), Katsina (9), Bauchi (6), Edo (3) and Cross River (2)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
