On the 27th of August 2021, 618 new confirmed cases and 10 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 190,333 cases have been confirmed, 169815 cases have been discharged and 2308 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 618 new cases are reported from 15 states- Lagos (312),Akwa Ibom (89), Edo (71), Rivers (47), Ekiti (20), Plateau (20), Delta (15), Kwara (13), FCT (11), Osun (8), Oyo (4), Ogun (3), Benue (3), Gombe (1) and Kaduna (1)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
