On the 22nd of August 2021, 388 new confirmed cases and 8 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 187023 cases have been confirmed, 168455 cases have been discharged and 2268 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
The 388 new cases are reported from 12 states- Lagos (166), Akwa Ibom (89), Rivers (76), Oyo (15), Edo (12), Benue (11), Delta (7), FCT (4), Ogun (4), Kaduna (2), Gombe (1) and Nasarawa (1)
A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
