On the 5th of October 2021, 344 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 206623 cases have been confirmed, 194475 cases have been discharged and 2731 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 344 new cases are reported from 19 states- FCT (79), Lagos (62), Rivers (45), Kaduna (33), Plateau (22), Edo (16), Benue (13), Kano (12), Cross River (11), Delta (11), Anambra (9), Abia (8), Jigawa (7), Bauchi (4), Ekiti (4), Kwara (4), Oyo (2), Akwa Ibom (1) and Nasarawa (1)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
