On the 8th of December 2021, 268 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 215164 cases have been confirmed, 207520 cases have been discharged and 2980 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
The 268 new cases are reported from 10 States-Lagos (225), Rivers (17), Enugu (10), Edo (5), Bauchi (3), Ogun (3), Oyo (2), Kaduna (1), Bayelsa (1), Delta (1)
A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
