On the 21st of December 2021, 2123 new confirmed cases and 4 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 227378 cases have been confirmed, 211761 cases have been discharged and 2989 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 2123 new cases are reported from 11 States – Lagos (1552), FCT (197), Edo (155), Rivers (81), Delta (44), Plateau (33), Kwara (30), Kano (16), Enugu (12), Gombe (2) and Bauchi (1)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
