On the 9th of October 2021, 137 new confirmed cases and 2 death was recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 207616 cases have been confirmed, 195132 cases have been discharged and 2745 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 137 new cases are reported from 9 states- Lagos (46), FCT (35), Kaduna (20), Benue (13), Oyo (9), Kano (6), Rivers (6), Ekiti (1) and Nasarawa (1)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
