The vaccines was received by the Council Chairman, Dr. Mojeed Balogun at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat, is said to be the first batch of vaccines to be given to Ikeja LG.

The Chairman after receiving the vaccines said “the vaccines are safe, and certified for use. They are duly certified by the World Health Organization (WHO)”.

He noted that “our frontline health workers are our top priority at this point in time. This is because they are more vulnerable and exposed to the virus because they deal directly with the patients of COVID-19”.

“It is believed that as time goes on, other identified persons of priority will be vaccinated also”.
