Court orders IGP prosecute Eunisell chief, others for ‘forgery’

Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, to prosecute the Group Managing Director of Re Care and Eunisell Limit­ed, Chika Ikenga, and one Suraj Yakubu over alleged offences of forgery, false information and imper­sonation.

Others affected by the order of mandamus are DIG Michael Anthony Og­bizi (FCID) and DCP Au­gustine Sanomi (CP Legal).

Specifically, the court compelled the IGP to re-file the charge and prosecute the defendants for the said offences as contained in charge marked CR/361/18 between IGP and Chika Ikenga, Suraj Yakubu and Eunisell Chemicals Limit­ed, which was filed on Octo­ber 5, 2018 and withdrawn on February 26, 2019.

In addition, Justice Tai­wo ordered that re-filing of the charge and prosecution of the defendants shall be carried out within 14 days by the IGP on the receipt of the enrolled order
