The Lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2, has called on corporate organizations within the Constituency to offer more employment opportunities to the youths within the locality.
Hon. Kasunmu made this call during a prize presentation ceremony organised by GLO at its Divisional Head Office on Allen Avenue, Ikeja on Tuesday 14th December 2021.
During the event, which was tagged “JOY UNLIMITED PROMO”, GLO presented various prizes including a Brand New Car, scores of Power Generators and others qualitative prizes to winners who had ealier emerged in the promo.
In his welcome remark as the Special Guest of Honour at the event, Hon. Kasunmu urged GLOBACOM and other corporate organizations in the constituency to do more in consideration Ikeja Constituency 2 for employment.
He also canvased for more CSR for the constituency while emphasising that great talents abound in Ikeja Constituency 2 who can serve as Brand Ambassadors at various levels.
Also at the event were star actor Odunlade Adekola, popular actress Bimbo Thomas, Comrade Akeem Dauda (a.k.a Lagbaja) who represented Ikeja LGA Chairman; Babaloja and Iyaloja of Computer Village, Prince Niyi Adesoji and Chief Mrs Sopeyin respectively, Mr. Tunde Akilo representating Ikeja CDC and Ikeja Ward B Chairman, Prince Dabiri as well as others.

WELCOME TO IKEJA CONSTITUENCY 2
(Being the Text of The remarks given by Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu at JOY UNLIMITED PROMO event organised by GLO on Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos on Tue December 14th 2021)
Permit me to stand on all existing Protocols.
It gives me pleasure to be here today to witness this momentous event by one of Africa’s biggest brands, GLO.
When I got the invitation to attend this event, I was initially in a sort of dilemma.
This is because, at the Lagos State House of Assembly we are currently at the peak of Budget screening activities and it is a very busy period for me.
At thesame time, it is difficult to decline for 2 major reasons…
1. GLO as a corporate entity has done very well for the society in terms of corporate social responsibilities, people friendly Telecom services, and outstanding commitment to the Nigeria Dream.
Secondly, This event is holding in my Constituency and I see it a call to duty to encourage and support corporate organizations in our Constituency, so that they can keep giving back to our people.
On this note, I want to personally welcome you all to Ikeja Constituency 2.
The most beautiful, most fantastic, most peaceful and most prosperous Constituency in Lagos..
Without wasting much of your time, I want Congratulate all the winners that are going to emerge and smile home with exotic prizes today.
I also want to specially appreciate Globacom and the GLO Brand for putting smiles on the faces of our people, especially during this period of the year.
We wish GLO greater heights as you continue to GLO with pride.
Lastly, I want to seize this opportunity to appeal to the the authorities and Management of GLO to kindly look into direction of Ikeja Constituency 2 for more employment, More CSR and more branding.
We have a lot of talents in Ikeja Constituency 2 who can easily serve as Brand Ambassadors at various levels.
As lawmakers we will continue to use the instrumentality of lawmaking to create more enabling Environment for businesses like GLO to thrive.
