The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (CPWB) on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed General Manager, Eko FM/ Radio Lagos, Mr. Olajide Lawal.

Speaking during the visit, the Board’s Secretary (CPWB), Mrs. Florence Yetunde Gbafe, congratulated the new General Manager on his appointment, praying that the Almighty God will guide him in steering the organisation to attain set goals and objectives.

Mrs. Gbafe noted that the courtesy call was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the Board and Eko FM/ Radio Lagos, stressing that the Board seeks continuity and an enhanced working relationship with the new leadership.

“The need for synergy and enhanced working relationship between the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board and Eko FM/Radio Lagos cannot be overemphasised, especially with the appointment of Mr. Olajide Lawal as the new General Manager”, she asserted.

Responding, the General Manager, Eko FM/Radio Lagos, Mr. Olajide Lawal promised to uphold the cordial relationship that exists between the two agencies.

He pointed out that the COVID-19 lockdown last year has become a blessing in disguise, as it has enabled the Board to discover the Kingdom of Jordan as an important pilgrimage destination blessed with many biblical sites.

“We will build and improve on the existing cordial relationship between us while continuing to support the Agency within our scope of jurisdiction”, Lawal stated.
