The Super Eagles B Team commenced the second phase of training on Tuesday in preparation for their upcoming two-legged Africa Nations Championship qualifier against Ghana, scheduled for December.

Thursday marked the culmination of the first phase, following which players were released to rejoin their clubs prior to the weekend’s Nigeria Premier Football League matches, and then 26 players returned to camp on Tuesday

As the team prepares for its intensive training, the remaining nine players are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, with the NFF poised to reveal the training schedules and arrangements in the coming days.

After the first phase, the team’s interim head coach, Augustine Eguavoen, named a 32-man roster for the second phase, with some of the latest additions including Remo Stars’ goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Suur Kumaga of Lobi Stars, Ossu Martin, experienced winger Bernard Ovoke, Aniekeme Okon, Ubong Friday of Rivers United, and U-23 and Water FC star Dominion Ohaka.

Others are Kano Pillars trio Abiam Nelson, Aminu Adams, and Sudais Alibaba.

All invited players were expected to report to camp for intensive preparations under the tutelage of Fidelis Ikechukwu and Daniel Amokachi while Eguaveon goes on an assignment outside the country.

Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg between 20th-22nd December, 2 to 22, 2024, while the second leg holds in Nigeria a week later.

Others are Kano Pillars trio Abiam Nelson, Aminu Adams, and Sudais Alibaba.

The winner over two legs will automatically qualify for the 2025 CHAN, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
