Less than a day after clinching the 2023 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award, Victor Osimhen scored a goal for SSC Napoli in a UEFA Champions League clash against Braga to secure a ticket to the round of 16 for his Italian side.

The Nigerian striker played a pivotal role in securing a 2-0 victory for Napoli, contributing a goal to the team’s success.

The encounter, part of the Round 6 games in Group C of the prestigious European club competition, saw SSC Napoli dominate from the onset. In the 9th minute, the Italian outfit took the lead with an own goal from Braga’s Serdar Saartci. Osimhen, known for his attacking prowess, continued to make an impact on the field.
