Chairman APC Ikeja leads Mojeed Balogun campaign train to Seriki Aro

The Chairman Caretaker Committee of the All-Progressives Congress Ikeja Chapter, Alhaji Dally Adeokun has led the campaign team of the incumbent Executive Chairman Ikeja Local Government Council, Dr. Mojeed Alabi Balogun to Seriki-Aro, Ward E of Ikeja Local Government on Friday.

Dr. Balogun who is seeking a second term for the council’s plum job and his team coordinated by the Director-General MABCO, Ogbeni Tunde Britto were welcomed by the leader of the ward and Vice-Chairman Lagos West of the APC, Chief Funso Ologunde, Ward Chairman Alhaji Nasiru Agoro, LGA and Ward Executives of the party.

The campaign train commenced rally at the Seriki-Aro Ward Secretariat and went through Ajao Road, Adeniyi Jones, Oloti Village, Aromire Avenue, Awolowo way and a host of other communities within the largest and of course highest electoral value ward in Ikeja paying homage to traditional, religious and market leaders.

The Council Chairman, Dr. Balogun, in his address assured Ikeja residents of continued sustainable developmental projects in education, health, empowerment for women and youths and infrastructural development and maintenance among other things.

He expressed his gratitude to the party leadership ably coordinated by the Southwest Women Leader of the party, Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson and all party stalworth for their support.

The LGA Party Chairman, Alhaji Adeokun while appreciating both the LGA and Ward LOCs for their support also recount successes achieved during campaign visitations done so far which started in Onilekere- Ward C, to Anifowoshe- Ward D on Wednesday and Seriki-Aro ward E.

He said the remaining three wards namely Orile-Ikeja-Ward A, Alade -Ward B and Alausa-Ward F will be concluded next week.

Chief Ologunde who hosted the campaign train at his residence, thanked everyone that has participated in the success of the campaign and also urged other aggrieved party members to have patience and tolerance as the party will address their matter in the coming second term of the chairman.

He admonished all party faithful to work for the success of APC in the coming Lagos Council Elections fixed by the state electoral body for the 24th of July, 2021.

The Councillorship Candidate for the Ward, Ganiu Olajide Shaibu in his vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to God Almighty for making his candidature possible. He also appreciated party leaders namely chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson, Chief Funso Ologunde, Alhaji Dally Adeokun and elders of Ikejaland, Chief Olori Galubi, Chief Coker and a host other.

The two-term Secretary of the Ward while concluding the vote of thanks, “Finally, may I also use this medium to appreciate our action Executive Chairman Dr Mojeed Alabi Balogun (Reelect), Hon Yomi Mahungbe (Reelect), the SLG Comrade Akeem Dauda, Supervisors/Special advisers and councillors ably led by the amiable leader Hon Adetoro Adebowale who has handed the baton to me to represent our ward”.

The Chairman of LASIEC, Lagos State Electoral Commission, Hon Justice Ayotunde Philips, in an interview with Lagos Panorama said the card reader will be used in the forthcoming Lagos council poll.
