Known as one of Nigeria’s most accomplished dealmakers, Mr. Balogun brought a wealth of experience and actionable insights to the conversation, leaving an indelible mark on the Fellows.

The session, held in the Academy’s Conference Room, focused on the deliberate pursuit of excellence, a recurring theme in Mr. Balogun’s address. “Excellence is not accidental, it is a result of intentional effort. Therefore, focus on the bigger picture, think long-term, and safeguard your credibility at all costs”, he urged.

Mr. Balogun highlighted the importance of strategic relationship-building and accountability, drawing from his entrepreneurial journey. “Life, like business, requires a plan, so cultivate meaningful relationships and always remain accountable, they are the foundations of enduring success”, he advised.

During an interactive Q&A session, Fellows explored themes such as investment opportunities, Nigeria’s economic landscape, and the role of emerging leaders in shaping the Nation’s future.

Responding to a question about the financial sector’s potential, Mr. Balogun remarked, “Nigeria’s future rests in the hands of leaders who can combine vision with decisive action, Leaders who can lead with courage and clarity, and the results will follow”.

Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, Executive Secretary of LJLA, expressed her gratitude for Mr. Balogun’s contributions. “Mr. Balogun’s insights and approach to leadership mirrors the values we strive to instil in our Fellows; integrity, excellence, and strategic foresight” she added.
