Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA), the Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Badagry, Lagos State earlier today, Monday 7th February, 2022, as the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Olorunda Branch held its monthly Staff Forum/Prayer Session for the month of February, 2022.

Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA), the Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Badagry, Lagos State earlier today, Monday 7th February, 2022, as the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Olorunda Branch held its monthly Staff Forum/Prayer Session for the month of February, 2022.

Delivering his address, Hon. Olatunde rallied the staffers on punctuality and devotion to duty, frowning sternly at absence and lateness. He stressed that; combined with devotion and a positive attitude to work, punctuality fuels the efficiency of the workplace and contributes to the sustainability of policies established towards the achievement of set goals.

Speaking further, Hon. Olatunde established his displeasure with staffers who obstruct revenue collection activities, using their offices as an avenue to excuse friends and family from paying their taxes as due. Without mincing words, he made it clear to the workforce of the Council that such infringements would no longer be tolerated, stating clearly that penalties exist for such violations and the government of the Council will not waver in ensuring that offenders are dealt with accordingly.

In conclusion, the Council Mayor clamoured for unity to be fostered towards the growth and development of the Council and her people. He encouraged members of staff to be pivotal to the progress and successes of one another.

As an established tradition of the monthly forum, the occasion was brought to a close with the Chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Olorunda Branch, Comrade Ogunyemi Abdulrasheed presiding over the celebration of staffers born in February.

The Forum was also graced by; The Leader of the Legislative arm of the government of the Council, Hon Christian Olaseni Ariwayo, Hon. Awotunde Idowu, Councillor representing Ward A, Hon. Nurudeen Mojeed, Councillor representing Ward B, Management Staff of the Council and many more.
