APC: South-West Youth & Students Council set to storm Ibadan for inauguration

The Youth and Students Council of the ruling All Progressives Congress has placed all plans in top gear to storm the ancient city of Ibadan for the inauguration of their southwest regional and states executives this month.

Reports from a stakeholders meeting of the council has it that Thursday, December 16, 2021 is the date agreed by the leaders from the southwest states of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo and Osun.

According to the South-West Deputy Director of APC Youth and Students Council, Hon. Seyi Bamigbade, the five APC governors in the region are carried along in choosing the date and venue.

While addressing newsmen in Lagos during the weekend, Bamigbade stated that the Lafia Hotel venue in Apata area of Ibadan is deliberately chosen to further strengthen the party’s membership in Ibadan and welcome thousands of intending members into the party.

Recall that the national structure of APC Youth and Students Council was established to fortify the party with more youth and students as stakeholders of the party as the succession plan of the ruling party.

Youth, students and leaders are drafted from all works of life to form national, regional, state and local councils of the APC Youth and Students Council. With plans going on around the states, the inauguration ceremony will be a great pointer to political calculations to politicians as the race for 2023 general elections begins.
