The All Progressives Congress (APC) has directed the immediate swearing-in and inauguration of all Ward, Local Government and State Executive Committee members elected during the party’s 2026 congresses.
In a press statement dated March 3, 2026, the party instructed that the inauguration ceremonies be conducted today or shortly thereafter, in line with the relevant provisions of its constitution.
The APC expressed appreciation to members, stakeholders and supporters nationwide for the peaceful conduct of the congresses, describing the exercise as a demonstration of the party’s internal democracy and unity.
The statement was signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON.
Meanwhile, at the APC Lagos Congress, newly elected Local Government Area (LGA) Chairmen and Secretaries were formally sworn in. They were subsequently directed to administer the oath of office to all newly elected Ward Chairmen and other LGA officers, as their tenure takes immediate effect.
