The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Chapter, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, on Wednesday led senior party officials to Ikeja Local Government to commission two newly reconstructed roads as part of activities marking the first 100 working days in office of the Council Chairman, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), and his Vice Chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore.
Ojelabi, in a statement shared on his Facebook page, expressed his delight, noting that it was an honour to commission Shanu Street and Balogun Street and to celebrate the leadership strides of Comrade Dauda.

The APC Chairman praised Dauda for what he described as “purposeful leadership rooted in service and accountability,” noting that the rehabilitation of the roads goes beyond asphalt and drainage but reflects restored dignity, improved mobility, strengthened commerce, and renewed community ties.
“This is the Renewed Hope agenda in action at the grassroots,” he said.
He applauded Dauda’s youthfulness, energy, and closeness to the people, adding that his performance in just 100 days validates the confidence reposed in him by the APC. “You have shown that when we put round pegs in round holes, progress becomes inevitable,” Ojelabi stated.

Ojelabi also thanked members of the State Working Committee for their solidarity and acknowledged the presence of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, whose participation he said further inspires continued development.
He assured residents of Ikeja that more positive transformations lie ahead under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, reaffirming the APC’s commitment to supporting performing council chairmen across the state.
Ojelabi congratulated Comrade Dauda on his impactful 100 days in office and prayed for greater strength, wisdom, and resources to advance development in Ikeja and Lagos State.
