APC Ikeja Leadership Expresses Gratitude, Honours Late Party Stalwarts

The outgoing Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikeja Federal Constituency has expressed profound appreciation to party leaders, members, and stakeholders for their support and cooperation throughout its tenure.

In a valedictory statement issued by the Publicity Secretary, Tayo Aderinola, the leadership described its period in office as a privilege and an opportunity to contribute to grassroots democratic consolidation and party development within the constituency.

The statement conveyed special appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledging his national leadership and the expanding influence of the APC across the federation as indicators of sustained public confidence in the party’s progressive agenda.

The Executive also commended the Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke, for his continued support and developmental interventions in the constituency.

According to the statement, his empowerment initiatives, medical outreaches, and infrastructural projects have strengthened party cohesion and delivered tangible benefits to constituents.

Further appreciation was extended to the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda, as well as the Chairmen of Ojodu and Onigbongbo Local Council Development Areas, for their administrative backing and support to party structures at the local and ward levels.

The outgoing leadership also acknowledged the contributions of key political office holders and stakeholders who provided institutional and moral support to the party during its tenure.

Significantly, the statement paid tribute to late party leaders whose roles were described as instrumental in building and sustaining the APC’s structure in Ikeja. Among them was Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson, remembered for her mentorship and foundational contributions to the party’s growth. The leadership also honoured the memories of late Dr. Adeshola Taiwo, late Hon. Oladotun Olakanle, late Hon. Babatunde Oke, late Mayor Alani Okikioposu, and other members who passed away during the period under review.

The party prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed and for strength for their families to bear the losses.

Reaffirming commitment to unity and progressive ideals, the outgoing executives urged members across Ikeja, Ojodu, and Onigbongbo to remain peaceful, united, and dedicated to advancing the party’s vision.

They described unity of purpose and disciplined engagement as critical to sustaining the APC’s leadership position within the constituency and beyond.
