Abuja, FCT – January 30, 2026
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its ongoing electronic membership registration exercise and adjusted the dates for its Ward Congresses and National Convention.

These decisions were taken at the 183rd meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

According to the resolutions reached at the meeting, the electronic membership registration exercise, initially scheduled to end on January 31, 2026, has now been extended to February 8, 2026. The extension follows requests from party stakeholders and is aimed at allowing more supporters and members to register and validate their membership.

The NWC also approved Wednesday, February 18, 2026, as the new date for the Ward Congresses, while the National Convention has been rescheduled to hold from March 27 to March 28, 2026.

Osun State, Ekiti State, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been excluded from the scheduled Congresses due to forthcoming elections. Rivers State was also excluded because the tenure of the current state executive committee is still subsisting.
In addition, the NWC constituted the National Convention Planning Committee.

The party stated that further details on the revised timetable for the Congresses and National Convention, as well as the composition of the National Convention Planning Committee, will be announced in due course.

The statement was signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, CON.
