Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelabi, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, on Sunday, wished Christians a happy Easter, encouraging them to live as “resurrection people” who embody the transformative power of grace and love.
Ojelabi stressed the significance of the resurrection in his Easter message, referencing Colossians 3:1, “Since you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above.” He encouraged Christians to carry the light of Christ into a broken world, quoting Matthew 28:19.
Ojelabi exhorted Christians to eschew fear and complacency, embodying the transformative power of the risen Savior.
He urged them to forgive, love, and serve others, just as they have been forgiven, loved, and served by Christ. As the local government elections approach, Ojelabi prayed for divine intervention, seeking a peaceful, transparent, and credible outcome.
The APC State Chairman implored the Almighty to guide the hearts of those involved, ensuring the process reflects the will of the people. Ojelabi further prayed that God would grant wisdom to the electorate, enabling them to make informed decisions and choose leaders who will serve with integrity and vision.
He expressed hope that the elections would usher in a new era of leadership, bringing progress and development to the grassroots.
In his closing remarks, Pastor Ojelabi led a prayer for Nigeria’s unity, its leaders, and its citizens, stressing the importance of closing spiritual gaps that allow adversaries to infiltrate their lives. He expressed his warmest Easter wishes to Christians, advising them to prioritize their health, safety, and spiritual growth.
