Apatira to engage 100 skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled youths of Itire-Ikate LCDA

…Screen Prospective JTF Vigilante Members To Curb Insecurity Challenges Within Itire-Ikate LCDA

In fulfilment of his promised to engage one hundred (100) youths in skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled categories with employment on the payroll of Itire-Ikate LCDA, The Executive Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira screen interested candidates at the Council Secretariat, Airways Road, Today, Monday, 14th December, 2020.

The Vice Chairman, Pastor Gbenga Oyebode headed the screening committee for the youth engagement in the three categories; •skilled category with teachers, health officials, clerical assistants; •semi-skilled category of artisans, drivers, environmental officials and •unskilled categories of sweepers, drainage gangs, security and office assistants.

While addressing the youths, The Chairman said, “the gesture was necessitated to address, unemployment, as a fundamental issue underlining the agitation of the youths”

Recall that Dr. Apatira held strategic emergency security meeting with security agencies, stakeholders and CDAs in October, to appraise the security situation around the LCDA in the aftermath of the hijacked #EndSARSProtest by Hoodlums; where it was unanimously agreed to inaugurate a Joint TaskForce Vigilante Group to reduce the insecurity challenges recorded within certain parts of Itire-Ikate LCDA.

After extensive and rigorous consultations with the CDC, CDAs, traditional ruler and other stakeholders, bold and trusted nominees with crisp clean antecedent from our three communities were also among the candidates being screened for provisional employment.
