Another history was made in the annals of Local Council administration in Lagos State with the completion of IMORU Road Ikoyi.

About LCDA – Ikoyi Obalende Local Council Development Area

According to residents of the area, this particular road in Ikoyi is so bad and dilapidated with potholes and blocked drainage which consequently resulted to flooding of the road and even houses thereby causing destruction to properties whenever it rains.

The Executive Chairman of the most urbanized local council in sub-Saharan Africa Hon. Fuad Atanda-Lawal while doing official tour of  streets in Ikoyi discovered this street and immediately directed the department of Works and housing to commence resurfacing of the road and reconstruction of the drainage.

The residents eventually had a sigh of relief with the completion of Imoru Road which to them is a dream come true.

The Executive Chairman however advised residents to ensure proper maintenance of the road and report anyone that attempts to cut the road without any official permission to the Local Government authority.
