All Lagos Schools must comply with safety rules — Esuruoso

The Lead Resource for Safe School Lagos, (SSLAG), Dr. Bisi Esuruoso, has reiterated that SSLAG is meant to ensure that all schools in Lagos State comply with safety rules.

Speaking in response to concerns of schools in Lagos suburbs, she said they were reaching out in a systematic manner, as directed by the Lagos State Safety Commission.

According to her: “There is nothing selective in the operation of SSLAG. But the work is much, so we seek more hands to join the implementation team by registering for the train the trainer sessions”.

“Both the children in public and private schools need to be safe. All children of school age need to be aware of safety measures irrespective of their areas of abode.”

Meanwhile, stakeholders have described the Safe Schools Lagos initiative as one of the masterstrokes of the present administration in Lagos State.

Also, safety audits had begun in January and this is being led by the Lagos State Safety Commission.
