AKOD Welcomes New Council Manager, Pledges Stronger Administrative Partnership
The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has formally welcomed Mr Rasheed Bada as the council’s new Manager, pledging a collaborative working relationship aimed at advancing governance and development at the grassroots.
Bada was received in a warm gathering attended by family members, friends, professional colleagues and members of Ikeja Local Government’s executive and management teams.
His appointment brings to Ikeja a wealth of local government administrative experience, having previously served as Council Manager at Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA). He also served as Head of the Department of Agriculture and Social Services at Mushin Local Government Area.
Bada’s assumption of duty follows the redeployment of Mrs Odubeko Juliannah Taiwo, who served as Ikeja’s Council Manager for more than three years, to Ejigbo LCDA, where she is to continue her public service as its administrative head.
In welcoming the new Council Manager, Dauda expressed confidence in his capacity to work effectively with the political leadership and other council officials in pursuit of Ikeja’s development goals.
The chairman underscored the need for synergy between elected officials and the career administrative workforce, emphasising that effective cooperation, institutional coordination and a shared commitment to public service are critical to delivering the promises of the I.K.E.J.A Agenda.
With Bada’s arrival, the council looks forward to strengthening its administrative machinery and sustaining efforts to deliver responsive governance and improved services to residents of Ikeja.
