AKOD, Sanwo-Olu, Aiyedatiwa Lead Dignitaries to Bid Farewell to Mother Celestial Olasinmi Odunmbaku

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Friday joined the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and other eminent Nigerians to pay their last respects to the late Mother Celestial, Mrs. Olasinmi Akindele Odunmbaku.

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Friday joined the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and other eminent Nigerians to pay their last respects to the late Mother Celestial, Mrs. Olasinmi Akindele Odunmbaku.

The deceased, wife of Cardinal (Dr.) James Odunmbaku (Baba Eto), Apex Leader of the APC and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), passed away on June 25, 2026.

AKOD described the late Mrs. Odunmbaku as a devout woman who dedicated her life to the service of God and humanity, an exemplary wife, and a loving mother whose absence would be deeply felt by her family and all who knew her.

The funeral service, held at the Lagos State Government Chapel of Christ the Light (Interdenominational), Alausa, Ikeja, attracted a host of dignitaries, including Ogun State Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, alongside political leaders, government officials, family members, and well-wishers.

Prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed
