AKOD Partners Nollywood Icon Jide Kosoko to Promote Arts and Youth Talent in Ikeja

Prince Kosoko, a highly respected figure in Nigeria’s creative industry, has built a distinguished career in film and theatre while also mentoring and nurturing many young actors who have gone on to excel in the entertainment space.

Their discussions also examined potential collaborations between the local government and key stakeholders in the entertainment industry to promote cultural activities and expand opportunities for young creatives.

Chairman Dauda noted that Ikeja, as a vibrant and cosmopolitan hub, possesses immense potential for creative expression and cultural tourism.

He reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to initiatives that encourage artistic development, youth engagement and the promotion of cultural heritage within the community.

In his remarks, Prince Kosoko commended the Chairman for his forward-thinking leadership and his interest in leveraging the arts and entertainment sector as a tool for youth empowerment and community development.

Also present at the meeting were the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Adeyi Adeniyi; the Head of Department, Tourism Department, Ikeja Local Government, Temitope Awolusi; and one of the newly sworn-in Supervisory Councillors, Comrade Tayo Aderinola.

The engagement marks another step in the AKOD administration’s ongoing efforts to build strategic partnerships that will promote creativity, cultural development and economic opportunities for residents of Ikeja.
