The Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has attended the Inter-Faith Prayer for the Nation organised by the Presidential Coalition Council (PCC), a major political mobilisation platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The event was convened under the leadership of the PCC Chairman, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, and drew together top party leaders, elected officials, stakeholders, and community influencers.
The gathering focused on seeking divine guidance for national peace, political stability, and the continued success of the APC-led Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Prominent dignitaries at the programme included Alhaji Rabiu Oluwa, Chief Abiodun Ogunleye, Alhaji Bushira Alebiosu, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Chief Oyinlomo Danmole, Alhaji Mutiu Are, Hon. Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Chief Moshood Salvador, Hon. Tajudeen Agoro, Otunba Henry Ajomale, Hon. Ayinde Enilolobo, serving members of the House of Representatives, council chairmen, and other notable party leaders and community representatives.
Christian and Muslim clerics jointly led prayers for the peace, unity, and economic prosperity of Nigeria, as well as for wisdom, protection, and guidance for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC leaders nationwide. The inter-faith nature of the prayers underscored the party’s commitment to unity, tolerance, and inclusive leadership.
In his remarks, Chairman AKOD praised the PCC leadership for fostering party cohesion and strengthening grassroots mobilisation. He reaffirmed his firm support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that sustained prayers, internal discipline, and active grassroots participation are essential for consolidating the gains of the APC at all levels.
He also called on party members and supporters to actively participate in the ongoing APC nationwide e-registration exercise, describing it as a crucial step toward deepening internal democracy, expanding party membership, and positioning the party for sustained electoral success.
