Ajah Community Celebrates Baale’s Birthday in Grand Style

The Baale of Ajah, High Chief Ismai Ishola Adeleke Adamson, was celebrated in grand style by the entire Ajah community on the occasion of his 47th birthday.

The Baale of Ajah, High Chief Ismai Ishola Adeleke Adamson, was celebrated in grand style by the entire Ajah community on the occasion of his 47th birthday.

The event, which took place on May 23, 2025, at the Baale’s Palace, was well-attended by the community, religious leaders, kingmakers, and business owners.

In a media chat, the Secretary of the Ajah community, Alhaji Azeez Kazeem Odunlami, revealed that the community’s celebration of the Baale’s birthday was intended to show appreciation for his efforts within the community.

He praised the Baale’s virtues and accomplishments, noting that he sponsored seven students for their master’s degree programs, covering tuition fees and accommodations.

Additionally, the community has enjoyed free medical care for both the elderly and young for nearly a year, courtesy of the Baale, as well as free food for vulnerable individuals to offset the high cost of living.

Alhaji Odunlami urged the Lagos state government to upgrade the Baale’s status to King, allowing the community to benefit more.

The event’s highlight was the cutting of the birthday cake and the presentation of gifts by various business groups and 52 indigenous families within the Ajah community.

The Traditional Ruler of Ajah in Lagos State and Community Leaders have requested the establishment of a General Hospital and the upgrade of Baale to a full-fledged Oba to facilitate development in the community.

During his 47th birthday celebration on Saturday, Chief Ismael Adewale, Baale of Ajah Community, appealed to the state government to provide a general hospital.

Adewale highlighted the importance of a general hospital in Ajah in providing prompt medical services to residents.

“Our primary need is hospitals. We also require additional infrastructure. The underbridge in Ajah is in a state of disarray. We are attempting to clean it and ensure everything functions as desired.

Moreover, we require enhanced security. We are fulfilling our obligations and need additional security personnel from the government.

The community is making concerted efforts to ensure the area remains conducive for living,” Adewale stated.

In his remarks, Mr. Biliaminu Akanbi, Chairmanship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Eti-Osa Local Government, stated that there have been tremendous developments in Ajah community since the installation of the Baale.

“There has been a lot of progress in Ajah since the installation of the Baale, in an environment where your people really love you, you can see the number of people who have been coming to celebrate with our Baale.

“He doesn’t oppress any people, he believes everybody is somebody.

A lot of good development has been coming into the Ajah environment since they installed him as the Baale.

“And by the special grace of God, we are appealing to the government to install him as Oba in due time.

“So that more progress will come into the Ajah axis. I also appreciate the people of Ajah who have been rallying around him almost every time. Look at him, it’s just a birthday. Look at the celebration. Look at the joy. He is a man who has a vision, mission, and passion for his people,” he said.
