Again, Adeboye raises hope of a better Nigeria

The General Overseer, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has called on Nigerians not to give up on the nation, as he admitted that every right thinking person knows that it is not well with Nigeria at the moment.

He added that though many Nigerians are frustrated and leaving the country, everybody cannot leave because there is no nation that can accommodate the entire population.

Adeboye, who was physically present at the monthly thanksgiving service at RCCG headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute metta, where he ministered on the topic “Overflowing Blessings Financially”, also prayed for market women, among others.

Speaking through the Special Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration), who doubles as the Pastor in charge of Region 1, RCCG Headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Pastor Dele Balogun, Adeboye in his message disparaged the spirit of poverty, saying the category of people living under this condition are compelled to live at the mercy of the rich.

He, therefore, hinged the rush of Nigerians to other countries, seeking greener pastures, on the dastardly attitude of the rich.
The cleric bemoaned the situation that has reduced Nigerians to such desperate levels and lamented that no country can accommodate Nigeria population as refugees, not even a country like Ghana that is not up to Oyo State in Nigeria.
“My counsel to Nigerians is that they should be optimistic because it will certainly be well with the country.

“This nation will flourish again. Money is important which the Bible supports, but it becomes a snare to those who worship it and look for it without honouring God or put Him first.

“There are categories of riches namely: wealth, prosperity, flourishing and overflowing. However, any of these devoid of showing mercy to the poor and impacting the less privileged has missed the mark,” he said.

Adeboye warned politicians to distant themselves from the Church and not to think that they can through the Church achieve their selfish motive during the coming election as he called on Christians to exercise their civic rights and vote rightly.
