Administrative Injustice: Makinde receives Committee report, promises to be proactive

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has warned politicians in the state to approach the state government before embarking on construction or re-construction of public infrastructure in the state.

Oyo State Governor,  Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday said his administration will not shy away from taking hard decisions in order to set the state on a path of sustainable development.

Makinde, who also advised other state governors not to allow themselves to be caged by crave for second term, stated that service delivery to the people should be of greater importance to office holders.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, said that the governor stated these while performing two separate functions in his office.

Makinde, said all civil and Public servants who have been victims of administrative injustice in the State would soon heave a sigh of relief.

The governor gave this assurance in Ibadan when he received recommendations from seven committees recently set up by government.

One thousand eight hundred and three appeals were received by the committee on arbitrary dismissal of workers.

Chairman of the panel disclosed some of its findings. Government also beamed its searchlight on the award of contracts by the previous administration to ensure the people get value for the spending.

Oyo State government has promised to implement the recommendations of these committees within a four-week time frame and has assured her residents to brace up for more people centered projects.
