ABULE ADO EXPLOSION: Valentine Buraimoh commiserate with Alado of Ado, visits victims at Naval Hospital

The Executive Chairman Amuwo Odofin Local Government Dr Valentine Buraimoh alongside his Vice Chairman Hon Olusegun Idris visited the palace of Alado of Ado Oba Lateef Olayinka to commiserate the royal father over the unfortunate incident of the Abule Ado (Adosoba) Sunday’s pipeline explosion where scores where fatally killed and several injured.

The Chairman stated that “It is unfortunate that such a disaster could happen at this time when the entire world is doing everything in its capacity to combat the deadly corona-virus pandemic, yet our consolation is that in unity, we will prevail.” The Mayor explained

He seized the opportunity to intimate the Royal Father on steps taken by the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in response to the disaster which includes the creation of an Emergency Trust-fund and the setting up of a committee that will proffer pragmatic solutions to the many challenges the calamity the incident has caused the State.

The Council boss in company of his Vice Chairman, Hon. Olusegun Idris also visited the Nigeria Navy Reference Hospital, Navy Town Satellite Lagos to commiserate with the Abule-Ado explosion victims under their care.

They were received by Commander A. O. Aliyu, before proceeding to see the victims.

The Commander revealed to the Dr Buraimoh that the conditions of the seven patients still under admission is considered to be stable and responding to treatment.

He also made a request that the government should kindly facilitate the rehabilitation of the road that leads to the hospital to allow easy access for patients.

The Amuwo Odofin Local Government helmsman thanked the management of the hospital for the quick responsive role played to victims involved in the Abule-Ado explosion saga. “We salute your commitment to saving lives” the Mayor explained.

While visiting the victims on admission, a touching event moved the Mayor to tears, when one of the victims disclosed that he was well acquainted with the Mayor, in his words, he said “I know you sir, you were a special guest on Invitation by Veleta Wine at our court engagement ceremony at the council secretariat”

Before leaving the victims, the Mayor pledged an undisclosed financial assistant to meet basic needs as the victims recuperate speedily.
