The All Progressive Congress Party members and other relevant stakeholders in the Ikeja Federal Constituency on Tuesday gathered at the Excellence Hotel Ogba, showered encomium on their Member House of Representatives, Rt. Honorable James Abiodun Faleke.
The Programme organized by Honorable Abolaji Shoneye, a member of the Presidential Campaign Council in conjunction with South-West PCC was to reflect on the sterling performance of Honorable Faleke so far.
In his Opening address Hon. Shoneye highlighted various projects, empowerment Programmes and poverty alleviation embarked upon in Ikeja Federal Constituency by Faleke.
He said that “at least majority of the people within Ikeja Federal Constituency which comprises of Ikeja local government, Ojodu and Onigbongbo LCDAs have benefited tremendously”
This was also corroborated by other attendees of the well-attended event by Party leaders, loyalists and other critical stakeholders within Ikeja Federal Constituency. Among whom was the Vice Chairman of Ojodu LCDA Hon. Olubunmi Oluyadi, Chairperson APC Ojodu LCDA, Hon Stella Kokumo, Alhaji Kehinde Onifade and Bar. Olawale Ajala to mention but a few.
In his speech, Hon Oluyadi expatiated on the past achievements of the seasoned top-ranking Federal Lawmaker.
The Vice Chairman said “Hon James Abiodun Faleke right from council Chairman to his first, second, third term performance, which invariably necessitated for his fourth term in the National Assembly due to his performance”.
He, therefore, called on the people to show appreciation by voting massively for him and other party candidates in the coming general elections.
In the same vein, Bar. Olawale Ajala standing in for Rt. Hon Faleke used the opportunity to sensitize party members who may likely be agents on the day of the election to acquaint themselves with the usage of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machine and also make sure that after casting their votes, they stayed behind to monitor proceedings rather than rushing home to sleep.
He said that “there is not much to say about Rt. Hon Faleke that have not been mentioned by the people but we must not relent on our efforts to make sure he returns as the MHR for Ikeja Federal Constituency come February general elections”, he concluded.
The climax of the event was the Walk Rally for all APC Candidates towards the forthcoming general elections from Excellence Hotel to the Campaign Office of Rt. Hon Faleke on Agidingbi road, Ikeja Lagos.
