Kemi Nelson: Dr Betta Edu Leads APC Women’s wing to the funeral to pay last respect to departed Southwest Woman Leader.

The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Dr Betta Edu and her deputy Hon. Zainab Ibrahim are to lead other women leaders and key stakeholders to pay last respect to former APC southwest women leader, Chief Kemi Nelson who died few weeks ago.

– Directs all To Attend Funeral, Night Of Tribute.

The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Dr Betta Edu and her deputy Hon. Zainab Ibrahim are to lead other women leaders and key stakeholders to pay last respect to former APC southwest women leader, Chief Kemi Nelson who died few weeks ago.

 The national women leader is to lead a delegation from the APC national secretariat, to attend the night of Tribute and funeral of the late Kemi Nelson.

In a statement by the Special Adviser to the National Woman Leader on Political Matters, Seun Bosede Osamaye, Dr Edu has directed that all Women leaders in the 36States, zonal women Leaders, including key stakeholders to be mobilised to attend the burial of Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson to give our last respect.

In her words, “Chief Kemi Nelson was our mother, Amazon and an icon, she was a strong and courageous woman who stood firmly in support of other women and was at the forefront of the struggle for the advancement of women, their inclusion in decision making process and governance, her death is a very big loss to the APC, Lagos State government and the country as a whole”. We must be united in giving her the last honour”

Dr Edu once again commiserated with the Nelson family over the loss of their matriarch as she reminded all APC women to mobilise themselves to grace her burial which is to happen in Lagos as announced by the family.
