Encourages muslim ummah to uphold best practices beyond the holy month of Ramadan
The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA), earlier today graced the Council’s 10th annual Ramadan Public Lecture as Chief host.
The Guest Lecturer, Ustadh Abdulazeez Yusuf treated the congregation to various preachings, recommendations and provisions centering around the topic for this year’s event, “Al-Islam”.
Following an exciting and educative exploration of the topic, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Olatunde rallied the congregation in his remarks. According to him;
“Looking around, it is obvious that many have put a pause to immoral activities. However, it is sad that in past years, the conclusion of the month of Ramadan unfortunately sees many immediately return to immoral and sometimes unlawful practices.
“Therefore, I urge you to observe your fast with sincererity and honesty, seek purity. Then, try to uphold the best practices beyond the holy month of Ramadan.”
Finally, Mr. Project as the Council Mayor is fondly called for his unprecedented performance in developing infrastructure, triggered loud cheers from the crowd as he promised to complete the construction of the Council Secretariat Mosque within the year.
In his words;
“We do not want you to bother yourselves about the state of the mosque anymore, we will complete the construction of the mosque this year”.
The lecture was Chaired by Mr. Albert Oluwarotimi Olalekan, The Council Treasurer while the Father Of The Day was Alhaji Saba Idris Babatunde, Head of Agriculture Department.
