Magbon Collapsed Building; Samola inspects site, condoles the bereaved

In a rapid response to the unfortunate incident which occurred today Wednesday 17th of November, 2021, the Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA) carried out an inspection on the site where a storey building collapsed in Sunny Field Estate, Magbon, Lagos.

Visits injured victims in hospital

In a rapid response to the unfortunate incident which occurred today Wednesday 17th of November, 2021, the Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA) carried out an inspection on the site where a storey building collapsed in Sunny Field Estate, Magbon, Lagos.

The Council Mayor, in an emotional statement mentioned that the incident is such a devastating one and advised everyone intending to raise a building in the LCDA to prioritise the protection of lives and property and that this could be done by carefully ensuring building materials are of the highest quality and that building plans meet the required standard.

He further affirmed that the aforementioned will go a long way to prevent further occurrences of collapse and dilapidations in the closest future.

Moving on, the Council Mayor proceeded from the site to the hospital where rescued victims who sustained various injuries were hospitalised and receiving treatments.

He prayed for quick recovery for every injured victim and condoled with families that were bereaved through the unfortunate incident.

It was however gathered from an impeccable source that four persons lost their lives and five persons, sustaining injuries were rescued from the collapse.
