On the 3rd of September 2021, 444 new confirmed cases and 7 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 194088 cases have been confirmed, 179679 cases have been discharged and 2495 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 444 new cases are reported from 21 states- Edo (71), Akwa Ibom (49), Kwara (49), Oyo (49), Rivers (38), Kaduna (21), Ekiti (20), FCT (19), Anambra (17), Delta (16), Kano (16), Bauchi (14), Ogun (11), Bayelsa (9), Benue (9), Cross River (7), Nasarawa (5), Jigawa (2), Zamfara (2), and Enugu (1)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
